We will be at the 11th Annual Nashville Earth Day Festival this Saturday, April 21 from 11am-7pm. Stop by our booth to say hello or to learn more about solar energy. We will have our solar-powered EV and golf cart there too!
Sat, April 21 11am-7pm at Centennial Park

On April 11 (day two of the Tennessee Solar Solutions Conference), join us as we celebrate the completion of the largest single axis tracking system in Tennessee. Tour buses leave Cook Convention Center at 12:10 pm. Tour begins at 12:45 pm and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony starts at 1:30 pm. Tours of the UT Living Light House will follow.
Agricenter International is now the host site of a brand new 996 kW single-axis tracking system solar array, the largest such system in Tennessee. The system incorporates 4,160 locally manufactured Sharp Solar panels mounted on an Array Technologies tracking platform, which increases the solar production by about 20%. Please join project partners, including system owner Silicon Ranch, Agricenter International and LightWave Solar as they celebrate the commissioning of this new array with an educational tour, Green Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 1:30pm, and a post-ceremony reception. Transportation to the site will be provided courtesy of the Memphis and Shelby County Office of Sustainability on MATA’s beautiful new hybrid electric buses. Any guests that want to drive their personal vehicles should park in Agricenter’s South parking lot. The Agricenter will provide shuttles from this parking area to the Array.

Following the 2011 Department of Energy Solar Decathlon competition, the Living Light house is back in Tennessee and on tour!
Developed and designed by students at the University of Tennessee, the Living Light house is a zero-energy residence powered by a 10.9 kW solar system. It features a smart facade, home automation and an HVAC system customized for Tennessee's climate. LightWave Solar retrofited the solar system from grid-tied to stand-alone. The battery system will power the appliances at night.
Living Light will be at Centennial Park for public tours every weekend in March. Fridays: 1:00-6:00 PM; Saturdays and Sundays: 12:00-4:00 PM. Don't miss a chance to see this house! More info here.
LightWave Solar will install a 2.40 kW solar PV system to benefit the Tennessee Environmental Council. The system will be part of the live auction at the annual Green Tie Affair on Sat, March 24 from 7-11pm at Marathon Music Works.
Bidders have the chance to buy a completely installed solar PV system at a discounted price and support a worthy cause.
The installed 2.40 kW solar PV system is valued at $14,400. Bidding starts at $10,000. What's included:
One SMA Sunny Boy 3000w inverter
Uni-Rac Solar Mount racking system
All other required equipment, supplies, labor and coordination with utility to ensure fully functional, professionally installed solar PV system.
System will generate about 3,000 kWh per year which amounts to about $660 per year at current electric utility rates through TVA Generation Partners.Page 10 of 21
